Perkins supports Latin American market at Agrishow 2018
Perkins will be at Agrishow 2018 to turn the spotlight on its best-in-class engine solutions built in Brazil and to reinforce its commitment to the Brazilian and Latin American agricultural markets. On show will be engines from its 1100 Series manufactured at the Perkins Curitiba facility. The Perkins team will also promote genuine Perkins parts for repair and overhaul, while its experts will be there to help original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) meet the Brazil MAR-1 emission standards.
Perkins will be highlighting its best-in-class engine solutions built in Brazil at this year’s edition of Agrishow, the biggest agricultural technology show in Latin America and one of the largest in the world.
Now in its 19th year, the show at Ribeirao Preto, Sao Paulo, is sponsored by the main associations connected to Brazilian agribusiness. Organisers expect more than 150,000 visitors over the five days from April 30 to May 4.
Alongside Perkins range of dependable engines designed to increase productivity and meet local emission standards, the Perkins team will use the show to reinforce the benefits of using genuine parts to increase uptime – and prolong the life of its engines.
Thanks to its established Curitiba manufacturing plant in the south of Brazil, Perkins has a good story about local presence. The company will have on display a number of outstanding engines, manufactured locally to global standards, ready to meet Brazil MAR-1 emission standards.

Popular choice for agricultural equipment
Among them will be a range of 1100 Series engines, all of them manufactured in Curitiba to Perkins renowned global standards of quality and reliability.
The 1103, which delivers 78 hp, is designed with compact industrial and agricultural applications in mind. The 4 cylinder 1104, which delivers up to 142 hp, and the 6 cylinder 1106, a powerful engine providing up to 275 hp, also serve the electric power market, achieving 55-125 kVA and 250 kVA respectively.
Another message for Agrishow is the importance of using genuine parts for maintenance and repair and how the dependability of Perkins engines could be put at risk by fitting components that aren’t genuine. Genuine parts are designed, engineered and tested to maximise productivity, minimise downtime and extend the life of Perkins engines.

This annual event gives Perkins an opportunity to demonstrate its commitment to the Brazilian and Latin American markets and understanding of the issues that impact most OEMs.
With its local presence, Perkins can quickly meet regional demand for its engines by shipping them direct from the Curitiba factory. Customers can also rely on Perkins engineers to understand MAR-1 emission standards and advise on how it applies to new machines.
