Designing a better machine
Using Technology Integration Workshop to bring together the right expertise.
Ever felt the satisfaction that comes from sitting down in a room with a group of like-minded people and hammering out the solution to a difficult problem?
It feels good, doesn’t it?
It’s the premise behind our Technology Integration Workshops (TIWs). We held our very first one in 2008. Since then, we’ve helped more than 150 OEMs to ‘feel good’ about an engine integration programme, solving many of the issues associated with product development and implementing effective solutions for OEMs’ agricultural power solutions.
How it works
Each TIW lasts only two to three days. Short and highly focused, the agenda comprises topics such as emissions standards, aftertreatment technologies, engine architecture and performance.
Intergration workshop
The TIW takes advantage of Perkins purpose-built Collaboration Centre at its UK site in Peterborough. Equipped with the latest engineering software, the Centre can create and explore unlimited virtual installations, running numerous scenarios reflecting the machine’s intended duty cycle. All this can be achieved without the need to cut metal.
What it delivers
Use a TIW to identify the optimal power solution for your agricultural machine. Benefit from additional Perkins resources and know-how. Reduce the time needed to finalise designs. Mitigate the risks associated with packaging new emissions technologies. Reduce development times and costs. Achieve a faster return on investment through a quicker time to market.
Why it works
The TIW is all about collaboration in action.
By bringing together people with the right expertise, Perkins provides a focal point for improvement activities that deliver tangible results.

TIWs don’t have to be held in Peterborough. Nor are they something that’s offered only to our larger OEMs. Whatever your size, whatever your requirement, and wherever you’re based, you can benefit from our TIW programme.
