Lindner powers its future with Perkins® Syncro
As long-standing partners of more than half a century, Lindner and Perkins have accomplished many great things. With the launch of two new Perkins® Syncro-powered machines ¨C the Unitrac 92 P5 and Lintrac 130 ¨C they¡¯re giving customers even more than ever before.
Lindner is pushing its latest generation of machines to impressive new heights of productivity and performance by featuring Perkins Syncro engines for the very first time.
The versatile and economical Unitrac 92 P5 is the Austrian firm¡¯s first transporter to feature the EU Stage V compliant Perkins® Syncro 3.6 litre engine. The continuously variable Lintrac 130, meanwhile, becomes the company¡¯s first tractor to feature the state-of-the-art power train.
With agricultural customers increasingly searching out machines that are highly efficient, compact and manoeuvrable, and which meet their environmental footprint, Lindner believes the timing is just right to launch the new models.

¡°It¡¯s our goal as a business to always provide our customers with vehicles that make their work more efficient and meet their specific requirements,¡± said marketing and export manager David Lindner. ¡°With these new machines ¨C and the Perkins Syncro engines that power them ¨C we¡¯ll bring our customers even more success.¡±
In step ¨C at every step
With an enduring history of collaboration, Lindner worked closely with Perkins throughout the development of the new machines.
¡°Perkins involved us very early in the product development work and responded to our requirements,¡± said Mr Lindner. ¡°For example, the engine was subjected to long-term testing at extreme angles, which reflects how it will be used in practice by our customers.
¡°Another important consideration was the need to minimise the space required by the engine, which was fully taken into account by Perkins from the first prototype.
¡°The new engines are a perfect match to our vehicles.¡±
Achieving peak performance
The Unitrac 92 P5 brings significant benefits to farmers. With impressively high torque of 430 Nm at 1500 rpm, excellent traction and a low weight of just 3,450 kg, climbing steep slopes is a breeze.
The integration of Perkins compact 3.6 litre engine has allowed Lindner to maximise driver visibility. As a result, the Unitrac 92 P5 features a panoramic, high-comfort cab. It comes with modern lighting technology and can also be supplied with automatic air-conditioning. Other technical highlights include an easy-to-use twin-circuit hydraulic system and tilting cab.
The Lintrac 130, which is launching at Agritechnica 2019, is Lindner¡¯s third Lintrac model and the first continuously variable speed vehicle that produces more than 130 hp. Technical highlights include its easy-to-use, LDrive operation and its TracLink system, which brings digital functionality to your working day.
Lindner continues its ascent
The new machines cap another hugely successful year for Lindner. With revenue up by four percent to €79m, and 1,200 tractors and transporters built in the period, customers continue to converge on Lindner¡¯s outstanding offering.
¡°We¡¯re convinced we¡¯ll attract many new customers with our new machines and we aim to continue developing innovative products for niche markets to increase our customers¡¯ productivity,¡± said Mr Lindner.
¡°Perkins engines ¨C and particularly the new generation Perkins Syncro ¨C are ideally suited to our vehicles. They¡¯re perfectly integrated into our vehicle concepts, power train and the chassis. We¡¯re so convinced by the reliability and versatility of Perkins that we plan to convert all our tractors and agricultural transporters to Perkins Syncro engines by 2021.¡±
