After thousands of Perkins customers across the U.S. and UK became loyal users of our quick and convenient online parts shops, Perkins has now opened its first European store in the Republic of Ireland – with more to follow.

Investing in our customers
The launch of our shop in Ireland – with other European locations imminent – follows the success of stores in the U.S. and UK, which opened in 2017 and 2018 respectively.
“We’ve put a huge amount of work and investment into our online shops to make sure people can find the correct part for their engine,” said Julian Wood, product marketing manager, service and maintenance products.
“In the U.S. and UK we’ve had a great response and I’m pleased to say we’re serving many new customers with Perkins genuine parts. We’re looking forward to doing the same in Europe, too.”
The shops are easy to navigate and make it fast and simple to find the parts or information you need. One great feature allows customers to search by engine serial number, so only parts that fit their specific engine are displayed.
“So far, our online serial number search is getting a high volume of hits and sales, so customers are finding it a great way to find and buy the parts they need,” said Julian. “It takes all the guesswork out of buying and gives you confidence that you’re ordering the correct part, every time.”
Customers can also search by part, engine series or engine type. Every part has a full description, image, and information showing which engine uses the part. Customers can even ‘live chat’ with trained Perkins staff who can provide expert advice and support.
“Perkins shops also contain links to our distributors, which is important for customers looking for more complicated parts or kits,” explained Julian. “Customers can also use their credit card to buy the parts they need, so no time is wasted by having to set up a business account. And their order can be delivered next day.”
Taking eCommerce to the next level
Julian is thrilled to expand the online service to more Perkins customers, following a strong performance by the existing stores.
“We’re selling large quantities of filters and service parts online and have many thousands of happy customers for our U.S. and UK shops,” he said. “Our customer service staff do a great job helping customers who need to make a repair. They interact on a daily basis with end user customers, helping guide them to the right part.”
Regarding the shop’s expansion into Europe, Julian added: “We know that we have many customers in Europe for our engines, who run diverse applications including fruit and nut harvesting machines, combines, boom lifts, mobile cranes and more.
“Often these specialist machines are owner operated, leaving those individuals to source the parts to keep these essential pieces of equipment operational and delivering maximum value. Our online service enables them to find and buy the right part quickly and easily.
